Since 2004, October 7 has been celebrated as Librarian’s Day in the Republic of Armenia. On October 9, at Khnko Aper National Children’s Library , on the occasion of the holiday, more than 40 devotees of state and community libraries were awarded with  letters of acknowledgement and a certificate of honor from the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports for their significant contribution to the library and long-term work. Letters of acknowledgement and certificates of appreciation were presented by Alfred Kocharyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the RA, Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage and Folk Crafts Astghik Marabyan and Chief Specialist of the same department Nazik Hovasapyan.
