On February 19 and 20, the conference “EU4Dialogue: Armenian-Latvian dialogue for the development of libraries” jointly organized by the Armenian Library Association and the National Library of Latvia was concluded.

The participants of the two-day conference aimed at the development of the library sector were specialists in the library sector of Armenia and Latvia, representatives of educational and cultural institutions and experts.

The opening speech at the conference was delivered by Ruzan Tonoyan,president of the Armenian Library Association, director of the Khnko Apor National Children’s Library. She spoke about the fundamental role of libraries throughout human history, the modernization and efficiency of library work in modern processes, the importance of ensuring continuous education of librarians and international cooperation.
